Whittier Mill Park Egg Hunt

Seems I'm having a hard time getting back to daily posts after having the girls gone for that week..... So, let's see here - continuing with some Easter fun at our 3rd annual attendance at Whittier Mill Park egg hunt with some friends from our community group. So crazy that we have been going to this egg hunt that long already! Mackenzie has come a long way from her first year where she had a complete meltdown just when the hunt started to this year being super good at hunting and getting a TON of eggs for her age! Keelyn, on the other hand, was just content as could be to pick up her one egg and carry it around :) Here are a few pics:

Easter Fun Begins....

We had quite a few fun Easter hunting activities leading up to Easter. Mackenzie really knew what to do this year - and was pretty good at hunting! Her first 'event' was at her preschool party. They had made little bunny hats for their craft that day and wore them on their hunt. It was too cute.

Lunch Fun

We recently went to have lunch with Aunt Natalie at her office. They have a good little courtyard with tables outside, so we had been waiting for the weather to get warm (didn't have to wait too long this year, HA!) to pack our lunch and spend a lunch date with her. It turned out a little cooler than we expected since it was pretty shaded. Maybe another week or two and we'll have to do it again when it's just a bit warmer :) We were pretty entertaining to those coming and going from her office to their lunch. Aunt Natalie was getting her hair done by Mackenzie with a leaf and a stick for most of the visit!

Mackenzie-isms

A few recent funnies:

1. Getting all excited about going to grandparents camp, Mackenzie kept saying "I'm going to Halla-tassee, Halla-tassee, HALLA-TASSEE!!!!" (AKA Tallahassee).

2. While hanging out at home this week, Mackenzie wanted me to come sit by her, so she scooted over and called to me, "Mommy, come sit with me, I made room for you big bottom!". HA! Thanks, I guess? :)

Back to Reality!

Well, I'm behind on the blogging, but that's because our house was without little feet running through it for a whole week! I was enjoying some 'Me' time, that's for sure! It was a long time coming, 17 months without a night away from my littlest! I got some extra sleep, got a few projects done, and remembered that I really do still like hanging out with my husband! Two years of 'Grandparents Camp' (this year the first for Keelyn) and I think this is definitely going to become an annual thing! Now to catch up on the blog...... Here's a few pictures at the park with daddy the week before they left:
